Treatment Suitability and Preparation
-
Suitability for cosmetic treatments depends on a range of factors, including your medical history, current medications, skin health, and treatment goals.
Before any treatment is performed, we begin with a comprehensive consultation to assess whether a treatment is appropriate and safe for you. This includes discussing your concerns, reviewing your medical background, and considering any potential risks or contraindications.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach — we take the time to ensure every recommendation is tailored to your needs, with your safety and long-term outcomes always our top priority. -
Yes, to optimize treatment outcomes and minimize risks, please consider the following.
For anti-wrinkle treatments:
Tetanus and whooping cough vaccines: Schedule treatments at least six weeks before or after these vaccinations. There are some clinical papers that suggest that there could be interactions and reduced efficacy.
For filler treatments:
For dermal filler appointments, please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin and freshly washed hair. This helps maintain a sterile environment on the skin and reduces the risk of infection.
Vaccines: Schedule treatments at least four weeks before or after any vaccinations.
Medications: Inform us of all medications, supplements, and herbal remedies you are taking. Please contact the clinic at least 72 hours prior to your appointment to check for any potential contraindications.
Dental Work: Avoid all dental procedures, including cleans, four weeks before and after treatments.
Travel Plans: Refrain from scheduling treatments within two weeks of international travel. This only applies to international travel; there is no concern with flying or domestic travel.
Cold Sores: If you have an active cold sore, please reschedule your appointment.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Certain treatments are not recommended during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Please contact the clinic before scheduling an appointment.
Medical Conditions: Disclose any chronic illnesses or autoimmune conditions during your consultation. If you are wanting to book a consultation with the potential to have treatment on the day - please email the clinic to discuss any potential contraindications.
During and After Treatment
-
Your comfort is important to us. Depending on the treatment, our team may use topical numbing agents, cooling techniques, and vibration distraction tools to help minimise discomfort. Many injectable products also contain a local anaesthetic to reduce pain during treatment.
For certain procedures — for example, Rejuran® — we recommend arriving 30–45 minutes before your appointment so numbing cream can be applied in advance.
If you’re especially needle-phobic or anxious, please don’t hesitate to email us at info@groundedaesthetics.com. We’re happy to discuss personalised options to help you feel more comfortable and supported throughout your treatment. -
Post-treatment experiences vary depending on the procedure you’ve had, but it’s normal to experience some redness, swelling, tenderness, or mild bruising — especially with injectable or skin treatments. Bruising typically subsides within a few days post treatment.
Our team will provide you with detailed aftercare instructions tailored to your treatment, including what to avoid, how to care for your skin, and when to expect results.
We always recommend keeping your schedule light after your appointment and avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, or active skincare products for a period of time (this varies by treatment).
If you have any concerns after your procedure, please text or email the clinic. -
f you have any questions or concerns after your treatment — no matter how small — please don’t hesitate to reach out. We want you to feel supported and reassured at every step.
You can text 0430 524 144 or email info@groundedaesthetics.com, and our team will get back to you as soon as possible to guide you through what’s normal and whether any follow-up is needed.
Your care doesn’t end when you leave the clinic — we genuinely care about your experience and results, and we’re here to support you throughout your healing and beyond. It’s important to follow all aftercare instructions closely and reach out if you notice anything concerning. Early communication helps us assess and manage any potential complications quickly and effectively.
Appointments and Cancellations
-
We require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us time to offer the spot to another patient.
We understand that unexpected things can happen. However, as a small business, we’re unable to absorb the cost of last-minute cancellations or no-shows. For this reason, cancellations made within 48 hours will result in the loss of your booking deposit.
Thank you for your understanding — your notice allows us to run smoothly and continue providing dedicated care to every patient. -
We understand that delays can happen. If you’re running late, please text the clinic on 0430 524 144 as soon as possible to let us know.
If you arrive late, we’ll always do our best to accommodate you. However, if there is not enough time to safely complete your treatment, your appointment may need to be rescheduled. In this case, your booking deposit will be forfeited.
To get the most out of your appointment, we recommend arriving a few minutes early — especially for treatments requiring numbing cream.
Pricing and Payments
-
In Australia, many cosmetic treatments — including anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers — involve Schedule 4 prescription medications. Under TGA (Therapeutic Goods Administration) regulations, it is not legal to advertise these medications to the public. This includes listing prices online, as it may be considered a form of advertising.
Because of this, we don’t publish pricing for prescription-based treatments.
However, we’re happy to provide a general pricing guide via email, as this is permitted under current regulations. We also discuss all costs clearly and transparently during your consultation, once we’ve assessed your individual needs.
To request a pricing guide or ask any questions, feel free to email us at info@groundedaesthetics.com -
We accept EFTPOS, credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, cash, and ZipPay.
Please note:
• A 1% transaction fee applies to all card payments
• Fees also apply when using ZipPay.
Payment is required on the day of treatment.
If you have any questions about payment prior to your appointment, feel free to email us at info@groundedaesthetics.com
